Bachelor Application
Hello prospective students,
we are pleased that you have decided to apply to us! If you have any questions about the application process, please contact our StudiCenter.
We wish you good luck!

*These deadlines also apply to applications for higher semesters in programs without admission restrictions.
If a deadline falls on a Sunday, holiday, or Saturday, the deadline ends at the end of that day and is not extended until the end of the next business day.
The application deadlines are cut-off deadlines, i.e. if an application is received after the deadline, it cannot be considered.
For more information on dates and deadlines for programs with restricted admissions, please visit:
https://www.hochschulstart.de/informieren-planen/terminuebersicht
If you would like to apply for a Bachelor's degree program at Pforzheim University, you must have at least a valid higher education entrance qualification (Hochschulzugangsberechtigung, HZB).
Depending on which applicant group you belong to, there are different admission requirements. These are divided into German applicants/educated citizens (EU citizens), non-EU citizens with a foreign university entrance qualification (Bildungsausländer), applicants in a higher semester (university transfer applicants), applicants with a second degree and professionally qualified applicants (university entrance without Abitur). In addition, some programs have special admission requirements, such as a pre-study internship, an artistic aptitude test, or language proficiency.
If you have already been enrolled in the same program at another university, you will need to submit a certificate of eligibility to take the exams for that program. This can be obtained from your previous university.
Please note: The application procedure for a degree program at the School of Design can be found here: Applying for a Bachelor's degree program | School of Design
1. Orientation test (OT) (except for second degree programs)
The orientation test allows you to find out which degree program and profession suits you best. Confirmation of participation in the orientation test must be submitted with the application for admission by the application deadline. The orientation test is online and can be taken at any time at www.was-studiere-ich.de.
2. Registration at hochschulstart.de
There you will receive your applicant ID (BID) and your applicant authentication number (BAN), which you will need for your application to Pforzheim University. If you are applying for a higher semester, this step is not necessary.
Please note: If you have more than one application for a program with restricted admission (DoSV application), you must prioritize your study preferences on hochschulstart.de. You can find the deadlines and further information here: https://www.hochschulstart.de/bewerben-beobachten/priorisierung

Letters of admission and rejection are issued as soon as the processing of applications has been completed. Once you have accepted the offer of admission on hochschulstart.de, you can retrieve your letter of admission via the application portal of Pforzheim University.
