Invitation to the valedictory lecture of Professor Dr. Tobias Brönneke
Is it possible for scientists to adhere to certain values while maintaining the expected objectivity of their research? This is the question that Professor Dr. Tobias Brönneke, Professor of Business Law and Director of the Institute for Consumer Research and Sustainable Consumption (vunk) at Pforzheim University, seeks to explore, effectively drawing a conclusion on the foundation of his scientific work. After more than twenty years of dedicated research and teaching, Tobias Brönneke will bid farewell to students, colleagues, and long-time companions with a public valedictory lecture on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.

About Professor Dr. Tobias Brönneke
For more than two decades, Professor Dr. Tobias Brönneke has shaped Pforzheim University through his research on German and European economic administrative law, environmental and consumer protection law, as well as on legal issues related to digitalization. As the founder and director of the Institute for Consumer Research and Sustainable Consumption (vunk), he has been deeply committed to interdisciplinary collaboration aimed at exploring, shaping, and accompanying the society of the future—its technologies, economy, and legal frameworks. Supporting and mentoring young researchers has always been a matter of particular importance to him.
