Sustainable Modular

Moodle micromodules and teaching materials for lower and upper secondary schools

Sustainable consumption is the link between the e-learning courses developed by the Institute for Consumer Research and Sustainable Consumption | vunk with funding from the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of the Environment for secondary levels I and II of all school types, which can be tested on the state education server or its Moodle application and downloaded from the Moodle school server. In addition, there is an overview of over 100 teaching materials on the subject of sustainable consumption, including a description of the 14 Moodle modules currently created by vunk, as well as instructions on how to import the vunk modules into your own e-learning system and how to create/adapt Moodle e-learning modules.

The 14 Moodle modules created to date under the direction of vunk list the appropriate class levels and subjects, contain a didactic commentary on the learning objectives / promoted skills acquisition and can be used for all federal states. For Baden-Württemberg in particular, reference is made to the current education plan.

The modules are designed for teaching the subjects: German, mathematics, English, physics, geography, social studies, biology, religion, ethics in all school types as well as the secondary school subjects: AES and the grammar school subject economics. They contain both preparation and follow-up work for visits to certain interesting destinations on school trips (e.g. to the National Park House on the Ruhestein) or shorter excursions (such as to the local world store) as well as tasks that can be used in subject lessons (such as calculating probabilities of obtaining trading cards for certain athletes in trading card programs for math in 5th and 6th grade or for German in 5th and 6th grade). and 6th grade math or for German lessons in grades 7 - 9 the critical examination of advertising texts in order to be able to decode advertising messages that are also conveyed in the background). A module on choosing a career or course of study is also included.

We are happy to create further Moodle modules. Suggestions and contact for vunk: verbraucherforschung@hs-pforzheim.de

In addition, we received feedback on modules from the Seminar for Teacher Training and Further Education in Freiburg and the support of the Baden-Württemberg state education server.

The cooperation partners also agreed to use the channels available to them (circular mailings, newsletters, intranet, homepage, etc.) to draw attention to the project and thus contribute to its distribution.

Duration

The original term was from 01.01.2021 - 30.09.2022. The modules created will continue to be maintained by the cooperation partners and further modules will be created by vunk and other cooperation partners from 2025.
