October 14 and 15, 2021: Online conference on the law of obligations 4.0
Reforms in sales law, termination button and legal changes to general terms and conditions, digital contracts, changes to revocation and information obligations. Consumer rights and law enforcement in the age of digital products and contracts.
Shortly before the end of the legislative period, the legislator has now implemented several EU directives in this area. In some cases,they will significantly reshapethe law of obligations of the German Civil Code . In particular, the treatment of digital products under the law of obligations has been fundamentally restructured and placed on its own footing. The new provisions will apply from January 1, 2022 and May 1, 2022 respectively. The aim of the conference is to present the new regulations and their far-reaching practical relevance. It aims to provide practitioners as well as teaching and researching lawyers with knowledge for dealing with the new regulations.
Contents are:
- The comprehensive new regulation of contracts for digital products - including the consequences for the contractual typological classification and the new update obligation
- Data protection issues relating to digital products and the provision of personal data in return for payment
- Amended right of withdrawal
- New definition of defect, extension of the reversal of the burden of proof
- Information obligations for online marketplaces/comparison portals about their ranking
- New EGBGB information obligations
