In this context, she examines the role of followers, both in their traditional employee role and in the social construction of leadership and followership. Within this field, she collaborates with researchers from Australia, the United States, and Singapore, with a particular interest in cultural differences in the understanding of leadership and followership.
A further area of her research is the future of work. In this context, she investigates the impact of artificial intelligence on various aspects of teamwork and collaboration. Using scenario techniques, she develops possible future work environments and derives recommendations for organizations seeking to proactively prepare for the changes.
A third research focus lies in sustainable careers. Based on the concepts of boundaryless and sustainable careers, she analyses career decision-making and its perceived medium- and long-term consequences. A particular emphasis is placed on career decisions of neurodivergent individuals.
