Exhibition "Future Narratives" – Ars Electronica Festival 2025

Event 09/03/2025 10:00 - University of Arts Linz

DesignPF at the Ars Electronica Campus Exhibition

In a time of profound upheaval, questions about the role of humans in relation to intelligent machines are coming to the fore: How do we react to technologies that are increasingly shaping the way we work, live and think? What does it mean to shape the future at a time when it is not only predicted, but must be actively shaped?

"Future Narratives" approaches these pressing questions from an open, interdisciplinary perspective. Five students from three design disciplines come together to create visions, prototypes and narratives. Their work moves between critical reflection and speculative design, between social discourse and creative intervention.

The exhibited projects offer new perspectives on the interplay between man, machine and environment. They question existing systems, create alternative visions of the future and create spaces for discussion, disruption and inspiration. Instead of providing definitive answers, the exhibition invites us to activate and consciously shape our imagination.

These works are on display:

  • RESIDUUM – Clara Emmerling
  • Music in Motion – Fangbo Han
  • From Gesture to Object – Felicitas Ferch
  • Automated Filamentation of Bacterial Cellulose – Caja Peters
  • To All the Fairy Tales Which Were Told and Will Be Told – Johanna Heilig, Ann-Sophie Lutter, Sanika Karandikar, Arthur Hann, Daniel Cruz
