Pforzheim University encourages and supports refugees who are interested in studying and furthering their education by offering study and career guidance, preparatory language courses and support for starting regular study programs.
Furthermore, students of our University have founded the Perspektive project to help refugees on and off campus.
Provided the required qualification is given, refugees can apply for all our University’s study programs like any other international student. In cases of missing documents or uncertain qualifications, refugees are welcome to seek advice from our experts for such matters.
Language and preparatory classes
To prepare for a full study program, we offer language and other prep courses. Some of our intense language courses are co-founded by DAAD. Refugees can furthermore visit some of the regular courses on a voluntary basis in consultation with our international program officers. Further information in the Consultation-Hour or here.
The student initiative initiAID has founded a project for refugees called Perspektive. In close collaboration with Pforzheim University, the project offers various activities for refugees on an off campus including a regular Welcome Café, a “buddy-program”, and leisure time activities. The Perspektive Blog provides further information.
