  • Vincent Mercado received the “Best Digital Fashion” award from Neo.Fashion.
  • Lilian Brade received a “Special Mention” at the Neo.Fashion Awards.

Graduation Collections at the Neo.Fashion. Graduate Show

At the largest showcase for up-and-coming German fashion designers, selected graduates from German universities present their collections each year at the Neo.Fashion. Graduate Show. Neo.Fashion. is Germany’s largest platform and network for young fashion designers. As an integral part of Berlin Fashion Week, it showcases the best graduates from all over Germany in fashion shows, showrooms, and digital formats.

On Friday, July 3, in old industrial halls on the Neues Ufer in Moabit, graduates from ten German universities presented their looks to industry professionals, the media, and fashion enthusiasts at the Graduate Show. Eleven graduates from Pforzheim were among the participants this time:

  • Benjamin Oekmen
  • Cemre Simsek
  • Constantin Rusp
  • Elisabeth Spörle
  • Emily Körner
  • Jonathan Vierbaum
  • Lilian Brade
  • Lorenz Schultze-Beerhorst
  • Luna Rae

Vincent Mercado and Lilian Brade Win Neo.Fashion. Awards

The Neo.Fashion. event concluded on Saturday, July 4, with the awards ceremony. Among the winners was Vincent Mercado, a student from Pforzheim. He received the “Best Digital Fashion” award for his bachelor’s thesis, “Vinuel.”

A “Special Mention” went to Lilian Brade: Her collection “The Feminine Urge” impressed the jury so much that they created this special award specifically for her.

Fashion Exhibition at the Berlin Salon

Another highlight of Berlin Fashion Week, personally curated by Christiane Arp—longtime editor-in-chief of Vogue and board member of the Fashion Council Germany—is the Berlin Salon. In the Orangery of Charlottenburg Palace, selected students and graduates presented their work. Here, Felix Stöhr exhibited two looks from his “grains” collection—dresses made of wood, created during his sixth semester.
