The 2025 graduation ceremonies at Pforzheim University provided a particularly worthy setting to honor the achievements of the graduates of the Master's degree program in Information Systems and the Bachelor's degree program in Business Administration/Business Informatics. The focus was on a ceremonial laudation, the diversity of the individual courses of study and a shared view of the next professional and academic steps.
In the first part of the celebrations, the cohorts of the Master's degree program in Information Systems and the Bachelor's degree program in Business Administration/Business Information Systems came together on campus in a personal atmosphere. Together with the professors Prof. Dr. Weiß, Prof. Dr. Morelli, Prof. Dr. Thesmann and Prof. Dr. Fritz, the graduates looked back on formative study projects, challenging examinations and shared experiences in teaching and practice. The laudatory speech emphasized the professional excellence of the graduates and at the same time acknowledged their special commitment in projects with corporate partners as well as the high level of personal responsibility with which the students pursued their study goals.
A special highlight was the visit of guest of honor Prof. Dr. Werner Burkhardt, who continues to feel closely connected to the faculty even after his retirement. In his speech, he combined decades of experience in teaching and practice with a clear view of future requirements for graduates of business informatics. His appreciative words emphasized the importance of critical reflection, lifelong learning and responsible action in an increasingly digital working world.
The official conclusion was the central graduation ceremony at the Congress Center Pforzheim (CCP), at which all of the university's degree programs were represented. Academic degrees were awarded in a festive setting in front of members and lecturers. The atmosphere was characterized by a palpable sense of solidarity and pride in their achievements as well as excitement about the prospects opening up after graduation.
The graduates of the Master's degree course in Information Systems and the Bachelor's degree course in Business Administration/Business Informatics exemplify a profile that combines business management expertise with technological creativity. They are prepared to accompany digital transformation processes, develop data-driven decision-making principles and responsibly design cross-organizational information systems. With in-depth knowledge in areas such as process mining, SAP technologies, data analysis, IT management and governance, they make a substantial contribution to the further development of companies and public institutions.
Pforzheim University looks with great respect on the professional achievements, scientific curiosity and social responsibility of this year's graduates. At the same time, this laudation is an expression of confidence in the positive impulses that this class will set in business, science and society. Pforzheim University wishes all graduates a successful start to the next phase of their lives and looks forward to seeing them again in the context of practical projects, alumni activities or cooperative research.
