Discours de la Méthode: Directing Design for Future Generations
Event 04/23/2025 18:00 - DesignPF G1.321
AnnaLisa Meyboom joins us from the University of British Columbia, where she is Associate Professor at the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture. Currently she works as Visiting Professor at the Institute for Computational Design and Construction (ICD) at the University of Stuttgart, for a public lecture on the future-facing role of design. Meyboom brings a unique perspective shaped by her dual background in architecture and engineering. Her work sits at the intersection of design, technology, and the environment, exploring advanced design processes, robotic wood fabrication, and future infrastructures.
In her lecture Directing Design for Future Generations, Meyboom will share insights into how designers can act as critical agents in shaping tomorrow’s environment—bridging speculative thinking and real-world application. Drawing from her international teaching and research experience, as well as her professional practice, she will reflect on the responsibilities and opportunities of design in an era of rapid technological and ecological transformation.
