Discours de la Méthode: 'Designing by Abstention'

Event 11/11/2026 17:30 - G1.321

with Gabriel Baude

How can we shape a more humane future using technology that could threaten our humanity?
In his talk “Designing by Abstention,” French product designer Gabriel Baude explores the possibilities and responsibilities of design in the age of generative AI.
For over 20 years, he has been developing design and innovation concepts for international companies such as Huawei, Orange, and Allianz. His experience with artificial intelligence and machine learning has changed his perspective on the role of designers: As technology makes nearly anything possible, ethical questions, critical thinking, and conscious decisions about what we choose not to design are becoming increasingly important.
