“ENTREPRENEUR 4.0”

News

Alumnus Gunjan Bhardwaj taught the third semester MBA students about the challenges of an entrepreneur.

MBA International Management at Pforzheim University was the first MBA program offered in Germany. With a homogeneous mixture of classical and modern learning techniques, this program keeps improving every year by adding new courses and activities according to the needs of the future. This year a new subject “Entrepreneur 4.0: Entrepreneurship in the Digital Era” was added to the curriculum. This course is part of the elective choices from the subject areas such as Consulting, Marketing and Finance & Accounting that are offered to the 3rd semester MBA students. The course, that was also opened to master students from other programs, was conducted by the MBA alumnus Gunjan Bhardwaj, PhD, founder and CEO of the Innoplexus group. Gunjan, who was earlier with the Boston Consulting Group and before that the leader of the global business performance think-tank of Ernst & Young has led projects in strategy, analytics and technology for various clients in different parts of the world.  Today he focuses his efforts on managing exploratory and exploitative innovation.
The fact the Entrepreneur 4.0 class was a joint lecture for both MBA and students from the Master of Communication Management program offered a unique and interdisciplinary learning experience for the students. The course tends to project the practical learnings that are needed for an entrepreneur to grow in his career path and succeed. Students learned about the requirements of the investors and how to create a perfect pitch deck to raise funding for a start-up idea. Gunjan also reflected upon the hardships he faced during founding his start-up that was quite insightful and inspirational for all students participating in this class.
