Zotero

Zotero is a free and open source literature management and source organisation program. It enables users to collect and organise scientific documents, books, articles and other sources and use them in their research projects.

The software supports a variety of citation styles, simplifying the creation of bibliographies and citations. In addition, users can save their libraries in the cloud and share them with others. Zotero offers a practical way to organise academic work and saves time when managing sources and formatting references. It is suitable for both students and researchers and enables the efficient management of a wide range of sources.

Zotero runs on all operating systems (Windows, Mac OS, Linux) and can be used in 43 languages (desktop version).

How knowledge gets onto paper

A presentation, an exam paper or a publication is the final step in the work process. Zotero works with almost all word processing programmes, including Microsoft Word, OpenOffice / LibreOffice and Google Docs. The collected quotations, thoughts and references are in the text at the click of a button.
