Studying in Pforzheim 

1. Before applying, please read the information which can be found on downloads for applicants (see left column). Especially please note the “General information for applications and admissions”. You then have 2 ways in which to apply.
2. Alternative 1: You can use our online application (only for 1st semester students of the Engineering and Business Administration and Law schools)
   Alternative 2: You can download and fill in the application/admission form from “forms and information for interested applicants” (for Engineering and Business Administration and Law schools = form No. 9).
3. If you are unable to download the application form, you can pick it up in person from our information kiosk or have it sent by post. Please send a stamped addressed envelope for €1.45.

   Information and application/admission forms for the Design School can be obtained in the same way. The download domain is still under construction. For further information about the Design study programs please phone (07231) 28-6724 or 28-6725
4. If you have any questions, please contact the academic registry or for specialist questions contact the relevant study program department.
5. Fill in the application/admissions form carefully. Send certified copies which are required together with your application (there is a list on the admissions form). Schools are able to provide certified copies of certificates, in other cases contact the local government office. Never submit the original of certificates. These legal requirements are also the reason why you will not be able to apply online for the foreseeable future.
6. Send or hand in admission forms with the documents required to the admissions office Please make sure that all documents are completed.
7. Please note that in all study programs (not in the School of Design) that there is a selection procedure which includes an aptitude test, a personal interview or a written test. You are required to register separately for an interview and written test. For further information please go to downloads on “short information about admissions procedure” and “general information about applications and admissions”.
   
   Here are the following application deadlines for the interview and written test:
   
   University entry test for business study programs and selection test for the Business Law study program: 15 April and 15 October
   
   Interview for engineering study programs: 15 May and 15 November

Please note the following application deadline for a general study program:

School of Design:

• 30 October for the summer semester
• 30 April for the winter semester

School of Engineering, Business and Business Law:

• 15 January for the summer semester
• 15 July for the winter semester.
