Pforzheim University again among top performers

Strong networking in the regional economy and close integration with numerous industrial partners - this was again certified with top marks for Pforzheim University in the U-Multirank 2021. In total, it received nine top ratings, particularly in the categories of knowledge transfer, regional commitment and international orientation. Pforzheim University ranks not only among the top 25 colleges and universities in Germany, but also among the top 25 universities worldwide in the category "Publications with Industry Partners," which stresses the outstanding practical relevance of its teaching, also in an international comparison, and once again confirms Pforzheim University's reputation as a top global performer.

As in the previous year's ranking, Pforzheim University scored particularly well in the areas anchored in its mission statement. The excellent performance in "Interdisciplinary Publications" attests to the interdisciplinarity lived true to the university motto "Leading through Change of Perspective". The successful international orientation of Pforzheim University is attested to by top marks in the indicators "student mobility" and "foreign academic teaching staff".

"The top ratings make it clear that we meet the highest quality standards with our teaching and are at the forefront of both national and international comparisons," Professor Dr. Ulrich Jautz, Rector of Pforzheim University, is pleased with the current ranking results. Professor Dr. Hanno Weber, Vice Rector for Studies and Teaching, also sees the current course of Pforzheim University confirmed by U-Multirank: "As a university of applied sciences, the practical relevance of teaching and networking with partners from business and science are of central importance to us. The top ratings in the categories of knowledge transfer, international orientation and regional commitment prove that our students find ideal conditions here."

U-Multirank is an international ranking that compares colleges and universities based on various criteria. Almost 2000 universities and colleges participated in this year's ranking. In addition to the quality of studies and teaching, the focus is also on indicators relating to research activities, knowledge transfer, international orientation and regional commitment.
