Reflections from students
While the first-year students focused on core subjects, such as Strategic Management, Innovation Management, Business Analytics, and Sustainable Globalization, the second-year students delved deep into their Master theses. After completion of their theses, second-year students bid their farewell, leaving behind bittersweet memories but taking with them a wealth of knowledge, true friendships, and an international family.
“This semester sorted out my priorities in life and served a fresh reminder that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck,” said Himanshu, first-year MBA candidate from India. Lei, from China, writes, “"I feel our classmates have a better understanding of each other in the 2nd semester. I enjoy the diversity of our cohort." Olaitan from Nigeria uses these words to describe this semester, “Intense, friendship, time management, fun, and skill acquisition.”
Kristofer Sperry, a second-year student from the U.S., writes, “The 4th semester is a big change. As I was working on my thesis I realized that this is an opportunity to become an expert about something. While I miss the fellowship of our classes, I am feeling well prepared and excited to meet my next challenges.” Kristofer’s start-up, Superior Wine SERVICE International, LLC, is based upon improving customer satisfaction for wineries internationally. He expects to launch his start-up in September.
