On 22^nd November 2023 Prof. Dr. Kroschwald had the opportunity to contribute to an interdisciplinary dialogue on sustainability hosted by the Mercedes-Benz Group in Sindelfingen with a keynote presentation followed by an expert discussion. As part of the conference stream “Data Responsibility” Kroschwald presented concepts of and approaches to “Participating in the Digital Society and the Role of Privacy Enhancing Technologies”. Such includes questions of how to grant people a low-barrier access to and self-determination in terms of digital resources and a fair allocation of (personal) data. 

At the “vunk, Center for Consumer Research and Sustainable Consumption” at Pforzheim University the research of the subject group “Digitalisation and IT” focusses on how to protect people in a digitalised, entirely networked world and how to promote and ensure transparency, self-determination and participation.
