MBA International Management welcomes a new cohort of students from six nations and kicks off the Winter Semester 2026/27 with a strong sense of community

The Winter Semester 2026/27 has officially begun, and we are delighted to welcome a new cohort of first-semester students to our MBA International Management program.
This year, new students from India, the United States, Turkey, Myanmar, Lebanon, and Ghana are joining our international MBA community. Together with our third-semester students, who come from Singapore, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kenya, Ethiopia, Libya, and Iran, our MBA International Management program now brings together students from 12 different nations. This remarkable diversity creates a truly international learning environment, enriching classroom discussions with a wide range of cultural perspectives, professional experiences, and ideas. Learning alongside peers from across the globe is one of the defining features of the MBA experience and prepares our students to succeed in today's interconnected business world.
For many of our new students, beginning the MBA International Management program marks far more than the start of a new degree. It is the beginning of a completely new chapter in their lives. They have made the courageous decision to leave behind their homes, families, friends, and successful careers to pursue their academic and professional goals in Germany. For some, this is even their first experience living abroad.
Starting a new life in a different country, adapting to a new culture, and undertaking an intensive graduate program requires courage, determination, and resilience. We are deeply impressed by the commitment our new students have shown in taking this step. What they all share is a remarkable enthusiasm for learning, personal growth, and professional development. They are eager to acquire new knowledge, expand their international network, and accelerate their careers through the unique opportunities offered by our MBA program.
The new cohort was warmly welcomed by the entire MBA team. During the orientation session, Program Director Prof. Harald Strotmann introduced the students to the structure of the program, outlined the academic journey ahead, and provided an overview of the first semester's courses and learning objectives.
To help students settle into their new environment, the day also included a campus tour, giving them the opportunity to familiarize themselves with university facilities and services. A shared lunch provided a relaxed setting for students and staff to get to know one another, exchange first impressions, and begin building the connections that will accompany them throughout their MBA journey.
At the same time, we were delighted to welcome back our third-semester students after the summer break. During an opening session, they received an overview of the opportunities and academic milestones awaiting them in the months ahead like this semester's elective courses, which allow students to tailor their studies to their individual interests and career aspirations. The electives cover a broad range of contemporary business topics, including Accounting & Finance, Marketing, Big Data & AI, and Recent Developments in Management & Digital Transformation. These courses offer students the opportunity to deepen their expertise in key areas of modern management while engaging with some of the most significant trends shaping today's business landscape.
It was wonderful to welcome our third-semester students back to campus after the summer break. From the moment they arrived, it was clear that they were happy to see each other again. Students quickly fell back into conversation, catching up on their summer experiences and sharing their plans for the semester ahead. Their interactions reflected how strongly the cohort has bonded over the past year through shared academic challenges, group projects, and experiences both inside and outside the classroom.
The MBA journey is not only an academic experience but also a deeply personal one. Through demanding coursework, challenging projects, group assignments, study trips, and countless shared moments, strong friendships and lasting professional connections have emerged. There is a strong sense of community that has developed within the cohort and the supportive, collaborative spirit that defines our MBA program.
Following the official welcome sessions, it was finally time for first-semester and third-semester students to come together. Over snacks and refreshments on a beautiful late-summer afternoon, they exchanged ideas, shared experiences, and discussed their expectations for the semester ahead. For the new students, it was a valuable opportunity to gain first-hand insights from those who had already completed the first year of the program. For the returning students, it was a chance to welcome the newcomers into the MBA family and share their advice and experiences.
The positive energy, curiosity, and optimism that filled the campus throughout the day made one thing clear: another exciting chapter of the MBA International Management program has begun.

A heartfelt welcome to our new students and a warm welcome back to our returning students. We are thrilled to have you all here and look forward to an inspiring, successful, and memorable Winter Semester 2026/27 together. It is wonderful to have you as part of our MBA family.
