The second semester is nearing its conclusion, and our students are already expressing interest in selecting their electives for the upcoming semester. At Pforzheim University, third-semester students are presented with a choice of 15 different electives encompassing various fields such as finance, consulting, marketing, and sustainability. Given the multitude of appealing options available, it is hard for students to make an easy choice.
To assist the students in resolving this dilemma, Professor Eichner recently provided guidance regarding two courses that he will be teaching: Applied Corporate Valuation (ACP) and Mergers, Acquisitions & Corporate Restructurings (M&A). Professor Eichner has been an esteemed finance lecturer at Pforzheim University since 2017, holding a master's degree in finance and a PhD in Accounting from the University of St Gallen in Switzerland. With prior professional experience at UBS and KPMG, he emphasized his hands-on approach to teaching, which prioritizes practical application and problem-solving.
During his presentation, Professor Eichner shared insights about his background, teaching methodologies, course content, evaluation methods, and more. He also dedicated time to address various student inquiries, particularly those pertaining to industry applications and key takeaways from the courses. Overall, the lecture provided valuable insights into the electives taught by Professor Eichner, and we extend our gratitude to him for sharing his expertise and subject knowledge.
