News

For its first Guest in Classroom event of the winter semester, the MBA International Management program recently hosted Mr Pritish Lilamarani, a 2023 graduate and current Program Manager at Amazon, as a guest speaker on campus. Pritish gave a fascinating presentation on how he made a career switch from being a Marine Engineer to overseeing innovative delivery programs at one of the world's top companies. His story offered students valuable insights into how academic learning can translate into real-world leadership and career growth.
Pritish explained how the MBA program helped him bridge technical expertise with strategic business skills. He pointed out that the program's focus on academic writing, teamwork, and company collaborations helped him build his management skills. His 10-week internship at Amazon was the turning point that led to his full-time role in Last Mile Operations and his current position overseeing programs across Germany.
The MBA alumnus also provided an inside look at Amazon’s logistics network, discussing its First, Middle, and Last Mile operations, as well as the challenges of managing the high-demand “Peak Season”. Pritish concluded the lecture by sharing his personal career philosophy—the “3 V’s”: Value, Visibility, and Volatility—and urged students to approach their future roles with purpose and authenticity.
The session was both informative and inspiring, as an example of how the Pforzheim MBA experience facilitates graduates achieving global career success.
