Company Project with Ferrero Germany
News

At the end of the winter semester, we, the MCCM students, visited the Ferrero Germany Head Office in Frankfurt to present the results of our company project. Since the start of the semester, we had been working in two groups to solve a practical problem in corporate communication, which had been provided by Ferrero. Acting as a de facto management consultancy, we exchanged ideas with Ferrero on a regular basis and finally prepared a presentation of our ideas in Frankfurt. The two groups worked independently of each other to create a realistic pitch situation.
Alongside practical advice from professor Krebber, who has many years of experience working in management consultancy, the project also included a lecture on project management and communication concepts. During the lecture, we learnt how to optimally structure projects and which tools are suitable for the respective project phases. This equipped us with the right tools for our pitches. During the analysis phase, for instance, we used the ‘Best-for-Planning’ tool presented in the lecture. This tool can be used to generate representative data on various target groups. As the lecture progressed, we also had the opportunity to learn about and apply various creative techniques to our problem during the ideation phase of our projects. This enabled us to apply theoretical content directly to our projects.
For us students, the presentation was a very special highlight. We spent an entire semester working on our pitches, making improvements and trying to develop exciting ideas that would convince Ferrero. We were therefore very happy to receive positive feedback and would like to thank Ferrero once again for the great opportunity to work on this project.
