A Joyful Reunion: Biennial MBA Alumni Meeting in Pforzheim

There’s something really special about coming back to your alma mater — the campus, the familiar faces of professors and staff members that helped shape your journey, and the friends who once felt like family. For many alumni, returning to campus is more than just a visit; it’s a heartfelt homecoming.
Last Saturday at long-awaited MBA alumni meeting, that is held every two years, that sense of connection was tangible. Former students, accompanied by their partners and families, traveled to Pforzheim from across Germany and Switzerland to the event kick-off on campus. The alumni greeted professors with hugs and laughter, reminisced with batchmates about shared memories, and caught up with MBA team members who had once guided them through the ups and downs of university life and their new life in a foreign country in general. This MBA Alumni Meeting reminded us again that while years may pass, the bond between our alumni and us, their alma mater, remains very strong.
Following the welcome on campus, the group took a leisurely walk to the nearby Seehaus, a familiar and nostalgic location for many alumni from their student days. Under the leafy canopy of the beer garden, attendees enjoyed delicious food and refreshing drinks while catching up on career updates, personal milestones, and future projects. Hearing where our graduates have gone, learning about their challenges, and professional and personal achievements, offers valuable insight into how our MBA program has impacted their lives. The afternoon was a perfect mix of professional exchange and personal reconnection in a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere.
Later in the evening, a smaller group continued the reunion at Lehner’s Wirtshaus, a place fondly remembered for many semester-end gatherings. The evening was filled with happy faces, warm embraces, and heartfelt laughter — a clear sign that this alumni meeting was once again a resounding success.
More than just an event, the reunion reaffirmed that the Pforzheim MBA alumni are part of a close-knit, supportive network — one that lasts far beyond graduation.
