Im Rahmen seiner Promotion präsentierte Manuel Gerth am 03. Juni 2026 seine aktuellen Forschungsergebnisse auf der Konferenz der International Sports Engineering Association (ISEA) an der Washington State University (WSU).
Unter dem Titel „Beyond pedal kickback: Analysis and categorization of crank torque in downhill mountain biking“ stellte er innovative Ansätze zur Analyse von Kurbeldrehmomenten im Downhill-Bereich vor. Die Arbeit wirft einen Blick über das bekannte Phänomen des "Pedal Kickbacks" hinaus und liefert wertvolle Erkenntnisse für die Weiterentwicklung von Fahrwerkstechnologien und Fahrdynamik im Radsport. As part of his research, Manuel Gerth presented his latest findings at the International Sports Engineering Association (ISEA) conference at Washington State University (WSU) on June 3rd, 2026.
In his presentation, titled "Beyond pedal kickback: Analysis and categorization of crank torque in downhill mountain biking," he introduced innovative approaches to analyzing crank torques in downhill mountain biking. Going beyond the well-known phenomenon of "pedal kickback," his work provides insights for the further development of suspension technology and vehicle dynamics in cycling.
