Sustainability Day: The vunk Institute with the topic "Reusing white goods" and the climate scale

On October 22, 2025, university members had the opportunity to find out about sustainability activities at Pforzheim University at various information stands. The Institute for Consumer Research and Sustainable Consumption (vunk) was also represented with a stand and this year focused on the topic of "Reusing white goods" - with the aim of drawing attention to sustainable alternatives in the use of household appliances.

A particular highlight was the climate scale:
This interactive activity allowed participants to playfully experience the impact of reusing white goods or other sustainable options - such as not using coffee cups to go - on their own ecological footprint. The hands-on event was met with great interest and offered plenty of food for thought for more sustainable consumption in everyday life.
