News

The MBA students of Hochschule Pforzheim had the privilege of attending a highly engaging workshop conducted by Prof. Dr. John Wargin (LTH Consulting & Advisory, USA) and Alexander Langhans (VisumPoint, Berlin) on the topic “Leadership Paves Your Way to Success.”
The session began with Alexander introducing VisumPoint, a company specializing in visa services. He discussed the challenges often faced during visa applications and how VisumPoint simplifies the process to make it faster and more efficient. Highlighting their customer-centric approach, Alexander explained how their marketing strategy leverages satisfied customers to advocate for the company. By delivering exceptional service, VisumPoint not only ensures loyalty but also builds a strong and growing customer base through word-of-mouth recommendations. He also outlined why VisumPoint stands out in the competitive visa services market, emphasizing reliability, speed, and trust.
The highlight of the workshop was a team-based activity that divided students into two groups. Each team was tasked with developing strategies for VisumPoint’s entry into the Indian market, considering factors such as cultural differences, information asymmetry, and India’s rapidly growing economy. After 30 minutes of collaboration, both teams presented innovative and diverse approaches, showcasing their strategic thinking and understanding of market dynamics. The activity was a true demonstration of creative problem-solving and teamwork.
In the final segment, John Wargin shared his insights on leadership and innovation management. He introduced the SCQ framework (Situation, Complication, Question) for analyzing business challenges and stressed the importance of thinking big, acting fast, and building lasting customer relationships. Drawing from his own career, he emphasized how strong leadership creates a unique value proposition and drives business success.
We sincerely thank Alexander and John for delivering a workshop filled with valuable lessons and practical insights!
