A message from the Dean

Welcome to the Business School of Pforzheim University

Our business programs have been running successfully for over 40 years now and we have turned out over 12,000 graduates. Currently we have approximately 3,000 students and 85 Professors.

We fully adopted the Bachelor and Master study program system in the winter semester of 06/07 as required by the Bologna Process. Thus our School is able to offer a wide range of business and business law programs at both Bachelor and Master level. Our Bachelor programs cover a wide spectrum of business relevant fields. Furthermore, our attractive range of Master study programs enable ambitious applicants the opportunity to gain further qualifications. We offer consecutive Master degree programs as well as MBA programs.

The secret of our success is that we are able to offer a balanced combination of academic education and practical orientation. We have forged close relationships with approximately 500 companies at home and abroad with whom students work on projects and Bachelor and Master theses. The close connections to the professional business world allow students to gain a better understanding of how the corporate world functions.

With the prospect of an ever-growing globalized economy we enable our students to gain a wide range of international and intercultural experience.. On average we welcome about 100 exchange students per semester to study within our School. Together with their fellow German students they pursue their studies, work on projects and enjoy leisure activities. More than a quarter of our students spend at least one semester at one of our partner universities throughout the world. This has been made possible through the international network of our school and the many bilateral partnerships we have forged with renowned universities.

Our methods have been very successful as a large number of our students and graduates have gained entry into leading companies. This has been proved through various rankings and ratings.
