Quantitative Methods

In Goethe`s dialogues with Eckermann you can already find statements about the importance of quantitative methods („..this I know, that numbers teach us“). The necessity to understand quantitative methods, to penetrate them and to be able to apply them, has become indispensable in a world of data, numbers, trends and quantitative studies.
Quantitative models/methods have become a very important instrument in the business problem analysis, the decision finding process and in corporate planning. Students are taught methodological competence and model-oriented thinking by means of application-oriented examples of business practice.
In total the required curriculum in Quantitative Methods consists of “Mathematics”, “Statistics” and “Quantitative Planning”.
Furthermore, in the 6th semester study program specific courses have to be taken.
