The Bachelor Programs

Start your career right here!

There are 10 different Bachelor degree programs in Business Administration and one Bachelor degree program in Business Law.  Students are thus guaranteed a compact, career-oriented education at a university with an excellent reputation.

As all Bachelor Programs of Pforzheim University Business School include mandatory subjects, taught in the German language only, the School requires very good language skills in German. You’ll find an overview on English taught subjects within the individual Bachelor Programs here.

The ten business programs are based on the successful Pforzheim model: a well established academic education in business combined with a career qualifying specialization.  The programs are designed to fit in with a clear profile of business functions.  The spectrum of functions is broad and comprises almost all business-relevant fields and functions.

All Bachelor study programs are designed to be completed within seven semesters, including one internship semester.  Successful graduates are awarded a Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc.).  Our law graduates are awarded a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree.

All Bachelor study programs consist of general subjects and course specific modules.

The general subjects give students a good and structured grounding in business.  They include:

-         Business Administration (including company taxation and information systems)

-         Mathematics, Statistics and Operations Research

-         Economics

-         Business Law

-         Intercultural Competence

-         Ethics and Social Responsibility

Approximately 50% of the course content is dedicated to the general subjects mentioned above, the rest consists of the more specialized subject matter.  The students acquire both academic and practice-oriented skills in their major.

An internship semester and a Bachelor’s thesis are mandatory for all students.
