Purchasing and Logistics- Projects 

 
In your sixth semester you will have the opportunity to strengthen contacts to the business world through a practical project in cooperation with a business. Here, teams of three to six students work on developing solutions to real-world problems in companies while developing and employing your project management skills. Later you will be able to apply these practical skills honed during the practical project in the remainder of your university classes.

The following are several themes that were covered in the summer semester of 2009 along with their respective host companies:

• L'ORÉAL Logistikzentrum, Karlsruhe: Optimization of commissioning procedures
• Daimler AG, Rastatt/Gaggenau: Development of a process model for PLC
• Daimler AG, Rastatt/Gaggenau: Material stream planning FSG
• BLANCO KT GmbH + Co KG, Oberderdingen: Strategy development for the supply chain
• Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG , Ludwigsburg: Process optimization of packaging replenishment control

Pforzheim University Logistics Students create assembly hall layout for WEKO

Within the scope of ‘’Logistisches Prozessmanagement 3/Logistical process management 3 ’’in their eighth semester of the study program Procurement and Logistics, the four students Daniel Koch, Felix Braunagel, Petko Petkov and Simon Weeber, in the winter semester of 2008/2009, developed the layout of an assembly hall for Weitmann & Konrad GmbH & Co KG (WEKO) at the company’s Rosenfeld Heiligenzimmern location.
