In procurement and distribution, businesses focus on globalized markets. Thus, internationality is a central component in the study of purchasing and logistics. The following opportunities are available to you for the furthering of your international competencies:

  • Participation in the English-speaking International Study Program (ISP) International Study Program (ISP) 
  • Semester abroad at a foreign university (more information available at the International Studies office
  • Practical semster at a foreign company
  • The completion of your bachelor thesis in a foreign company

It is for good reason that you are required to demonstrate basic proficiency in English* by the end of your third semester- English language skills are prerequisite to virtually every job description in the fields of purchasing and logistics. 

 

* In the SIK (Sozial-, Methoden- und Interkulturelle Kompetenz/Social, Methodological and Intercultural Competency) program’s Interkulturelle Kompetenz (Intercultural Competency) class, which you will complete during your studies, you must achieve the level B2 in English in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
