Business Administration / Purchasing and Logistics

Within the scope of our program offering, the logistics laboratory offers students the chance to use special logistics tools and procedures to design and analyze value-added processes. The primary focus lies in the imparting of knowledge in quantitative and qualitative methods that will later be used as a decision base. The emphasis of the applied tools lies above all in the visualization, simulation, profitability analysis and benchmarking of various processes and thus different situations. Production control represents an essential component. Equipped with the tools necessary to apply so-called funnel models, throughput diagrams, load-oriented order releases, the Kanban system and the Conwip method, the user is prepared to work intensively with virtual production.
