…”Become a market researcher in Pforzheim”, says Christa Wehner and laughs. She is the head of the Market and Communication Research study program at Pforzheim University. Two thirds of the program comprises of business administration studies. About 30% of the course consists of specialist market research modules.
The study program is practice-oriented and the students work with up-to-date data records: “Data which is a year old is acceptable for simulations and practice”. The number of employees has grown from 4,000 in 1986 to over 12,700 in 2005. The turnover has multiplied fivefold in the last 20 years (from 351 million Euros to 1.75 billion Euros)
