Business Administration & Engineering 

The Bachelor and Master study programs in the field of Business Administration and Engineering have been accredited through AQAS.

The process began in February 2008. After an inspection of the University in June 2008 both study programs received accreditation from the commencement of winter semester 2008/2009.

In the course of the expansion of the Business Administration and Engineering department with two new Bachelor study programs we are seeking to gain new accreditation by summer semester 2010 for the three study programs: “WI/General Management”, “WI/International Management” and “WI/Global Process Management”.

General Information about the Accreditation of the Study Programs

The accreditation aims to ensure the quality of the teaching and study program in universities, to enhance the international comparison of the study program and as a result to improve the mobility of the students.

Furthermore various interested parties, students, employers and the public should have reliable orientation with regard to the expected quality standards of the study program.

The Accreditation committee was founded by the German states in 1998 in order to pursue these aims and developed an accreditation process for minimum standards and criteria. Furthermore the accreditation committee appoints accreditation agencies which check every new Bachelor and Master study program and can award their seal of accreditation.

Accreditation Agencies

The following agencies are authorized to award the quality seal of the accreditation committee to Bachelor and Master study programs:

• Agentur für Qualitätssicherung durch Akkreditierung von Studiengängen (AQAS)  
• Akkreditierungsagentur für Studiengänge der Ingenieurwissenschaften, der Informaik, der Naturwissenschaften und der Mathematick (ASIIN)  
• Akkreditierugsagentur für Studiengänge im Bereich Heilpädagogik, Pflege, Gesundheit und Soziale Arbeit e.V. (AHPGS)  
• Akkreditierungs-, Certifizeirungs- und Qualitätssicherungs-Institut (ACQUIN)  
• Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA)  
• Zentrale Evaluations- und Akkreditierungsagentur Hannover (ZevA)
