The auditing examinations offered conform to the standards expected within this industry. Students must maintain the required standards in the future. In addition to the compilation of the legal annual financial statement an auditor is required to check an increasing amount of information that is published. The field of activity is expanding due to the shorter intervals between cash flow statements, more extensive and new auditing areas.

These changes to the professional profile require an auditor to enhance his/her skills needed within this field. An auditor has to be up to date with the latest developments so that he/she is able to competently apply his/her knowledge to current situations. Furthermore an analytical mind, the ability to take the whole business context into consideration, active listening and excellent communication skills are required. In order to solve interdisciplinary problems team and project management skills are essential. Moreover in order to give good consultation advice and guidance to a company in various situations it is necessary to have good social skills, to be assertive and possess good powers of persuasion.
