Project Presentation at WAFIOS AG 

The 3^rd Semester MBA students had the opportunity to participate and understand the functioning of the German industry. The students, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Kai Alexander Saldsieder, did their company project at WAFIOS AG in Reutlingen. The project was supported from WAFIOS by Dr. Christoph Müller-Mederer, Director Sales and Marketing.

WAFIOS is a “hidden champion” in the area of wire and tube processing technology. It has a comprehensive range of services in a global network and more than 100 years of experience in this field. The product range from WAFIOS includes about 200 different types, from machines for chain link and farm fencing to machines for the upholstery and mattress industry to chain bending and welding machines.

The task assigned to students was to develop marketing strategies for existing and new markets. The project was divided into two teams, one responsible for developing market penetration strategies for the US market and the other responsible to develop entrant strategies in the Indian market. The students had their chance to conduct market research and surveys and develop a comprehensive report of their findings for WAFIOS.
